Dr. Kate Secombe

Newsletter Coordinator & Content Developer

Kate currently works as our Newsletter Coordinator and Content Developer, bringing you the latest updates from CAA and the Australian cellular agriculture sector.

Kate is a scientist with a PhD in Medicine, where she examined how the gut microbiota contributes to the development of gastrointestinal side effects from cancer. She then went on to participate in the Science Policy Fellowship program, which is run by the Office of Australia’s Chief Scientist. She also teaches a range of biology courses at the University of South Australia.

She was selected as one of six other Australian scientists to attend the prestigious Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in Germany, which aims to provide an opportunity for scientific and cultural exchange. 

Alongside her interests in scientific research and medicine, Kate is interested in how research can be translated into real-world improvements for people and the planet.
