Kim Tonnet

Head of Regulatory Affairs

Kim is a regulatory and government relations professional bringing over 30 years of experience in food manufacturing with global giants like Unilever, Mars, and Nestlé. Her career has also included roles in quality assurance, new product development, and consumer marketing, giving her a unique, holistic perspective on the food industry.

Of particular note is Kim’s keen interest and experience in cellular agriculture as part of the alternative protein industry - having previously worked for precision fermentation company All G, where she led regulatory strategy and applications across global markets. 

She also supported Impossible Foods’ FSANZ approval for precision-fermented soy leghemoglobin, and contributed to global standards for alt proteins and cultivated foods through ISO and Standards Australia working groups.
